
studioarndtbenedikt Design that bites back 👀 How do you turn 4,000 years of culinary tradition into a head-turning food brand? You keep it real – and you keep it spicy. When @sonamu.kimchi approached us, they had one goal: ✨ Make kimchi impossible to ignore. The Western market was lacking in flavour, depth – and design. Our task? To create a brand identity that would do justice to SONAMU’s roots and resonate with a wide audience. We set out to celebrate Korean culture without leaning into stereotypes, crafting a design that appeals to both culinary connoisseurs and curious first-timers. The goal was to strike the right balance between cultural depth, playful energy and visual clarity. We responded with a brand full of bite: Illustrations inspired by Korean mythology bring meaning and memorability. The packaging is clean and confident – instantly recognisable on the shelf. And the tone of voice is bold, witty and warm, without ever feeling forced. The result? A design system that’s as layered as kimchi itself – crunchy, complex, with a kick at the end. SONAMU kimchi will hit the shelves soon – and it’s ready to shake things up.
